“To all at Bush Dentist, many thanks for the good job you have done. Thank you all. Don’t ever change!”
While orthodontic treatment is more effective when the mouth is young, adults can still benefit from the treatment. If you have always wanted to have your bite improved and teeth straightened, you can still have braces even if you are older.
Why might I need orthodontic treatment?
We check orthodontic need at a young age as younger mouths react best to straightening treatment. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t have orthodontic treatment as an adult. If you missed out on having orthodontics as a teen, you can benefit from the treatment now as an adult.
Common reasons for having orthodontic treatment are:
- To improve the appearance of the teeth and face
- To move teeth before carrying out restorative work
- To make it easier to clean teeth that are crooked or overcrowded
- To improve function so your teeth mesh together better when you eat
Discreet teeth straightening
Most people are put off having the orthodontic treatment they need because of how braces look. At The Bush Dental Practice, we have a range of discreet options so you can enjoy the benefits of a straight smile without the worry of having noticeable braces.
With fixed braces, there are alternative options to having metal brackets and wires. We offer tooth-coloured braces that are colour matched to your teeth, ensuring a discreet finish.
These are less visible at a distance. We can also offer lingual braces, which fit on the inside of your teeth.
Clear aligners are also a great option for more mild orthodontic needs. These removable aligners gradually move teeth to a straighter position. As they are removable, there’s no need to change your diet.
