Neela qualified at Guy’s Dental Hospital, London in 1989 and is a member of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeon’s, London.

Having a caring, sympathetic nature and a wealth of experience of 30 years, Neela enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a passion for complicated restorative cases, removable and fixed restorations including implant work, root treatments, tooth whitening and children’s dentistry.

Neela has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry including smile design and cosmetic orthodontics. She is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is an Invisalign Full certified member. She enjoys keeping up to date with modern techniques and materials by attending postgraduate courses and conferences.

Together with her husband, Dr Ashik Patel, have also set up a large Orthodontic Clinic in Hitchin.

Neela is a keen skier and enjoys hiking in the French Alps. Outside work she enjoys yoga and is a keen gardener. Neela is a passionate cook and enjoys baking. She has also embarked on a dental charity mission to Kenya and Malawi treating deprived children and adults.

With the vast stresses of modern life, she enjoys keeping fit and healthy living.

Dr Ashik Patel is originally from Bolton, Lancashire. Graduated from Guys Hospital, London in 1989.

Ashik and his wife Dr Neela Patel set up The Bush Dental Clinic, some 28 years ago, in 1992 and in 2003 relocated the Clinic to where it is now in a purpose built, state of the art dental practice. The building project and design was project managed personally.

Ashik is a member Full member of the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) and the BDA (British Dental Association). He is an active member of the LDC (Local Dental Committee) since 1992. Although, not at present, Ashik has been a VT (Vocational Trainee) trainer. Ashik has pursued his passion for quality and excellence, with a special interest in Cosmetic dentistry, prosthetics, restorative aspects of Implantology and full mouth reconstruction. He particularly enjoys treating the complicated aged dentition.

Ashik has two sons, Vinai 21 studying Economics at the LSE and Vishan 24 who has recently graduated from Bristol University doing Dentistry. The plans are for Vishan to join the practice in 2020.

As a family they enjoy travelling and are keen skiers, as well as active supporters of Liverpool Football Club!

Vishan prides himself in Cosmetic and Restorative dentistry. He has completed over 100 Invisalign cases and multiple full mouth makeovers while at the Bush Dental Clinic. Vishan loves to use the latest materials and gadgets in order to offer the very best treatment for his patients.

When not working, Vishan loves to cook (and eat!), spend time with the family and watch Liverpool, the best team in the world!

Dr Harpreet Johal graduated from the University of Bristol, which is where she met her husband Dr Vishan Patel.

Harpreet is a friendly and enthusiastic dental professional who is committed to providing a high- quality service for all her patients. She maintains a warm and compassionate approach, ensuring that every patient feels valued and receives the best clinical outcome for their needs. Her gentle bedside manner is particularly acknowledged by anxious patients.

Harpreet enjoys all aspects of Dentistry, but her passion lies in restorative, cosmetic and children’s Dentistry. Harpreet is a fully certified Comprehensive Invisalign provider and Enlighten whitening provider. This means that she is equipped to give patients a beaming smile that they’re in love with!

Outside of Dentistry, Harpreet enjoys painting/drawing, spending time with loved ones and keeping active.

Sharmi graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2004 and joined the Bush Dental Clinic in 2014.

Sharmi is at the cutting edge of the profession and highly trained in the latest developments and techniques in dentistry. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training to attain clinical excellence in her practice. She has been awarded membership to the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England. She has also successfully completed a master’s degree in the field of Implant Dentistry, at the University of Warwick. Her impressive skills and ability lead to her being selected to work in a regional West Midlands implant referral and training centre, prior to relocating back to London.

Sharmi also works in a number of specialist orthodontic clinics providing fully comprehensive orthodontic treatments to adults and children. She is able to provide a range of fixed and removable orthodontic solutions including Invisalign.

Sharmi is popular with her patients because of her empathetic bedside manner and desire to put her patient’s well-being first. She has a wealth of experience working with patients to enhance their smile and self-confidence, from simple treatments to complex rehabilitations.

She strongly believes the greatest fulfilment as a dentist comes from helping patients understand what’s feasible and working with them to achieve their aspirations. She always involves patients in decisions about their treatment so that they feel relaxed and empowered about the choices they make. Sharmi’s aim is to get patients to look forward to attending their next dental appointment!

Outside of work, Sharmi is kept very busy with her two children. She is a keen traveller, sports fan, enjoys reading and keeping fit.

Zaman qualified as a Dental Surgeon from the University of Liverpool in 2010. Following an initial year providing treatment to patient’s in general dental practice, Zaman undertook several years in hospital-based positions with further training in a specialist restorative dentistry department; as well as oral surgery across both dental teaching hospitals and major regional trauma centres. During this time, Zaman was awarded postgraduate prizes by his peers for research in paediatric dentistry as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Zaman’s training and interest in surgical dentistry have allowed him to become accredited as a Dentist with a special interest in Oral Surgery. He is trusted by his colleagues to receive referrals both in-house and from Dentists across London for management of complicated tooth extractions, including surgical wisdom tooth removal.

In addition to surgical dentistry, Zaman successfully completed a master’s degree in Clinical Implantology, graduating with merit. Zaman enjoys working with patients with complex dental histories, and providing solutions for patients with missing teeth to restore their smiles.

Zaman has developed a range of skills in managing patients suffering from dental trauma, anxious patients and those with complex medical histories. Alongside these posts, Zaman has completed his membership examinations to join the Royal College of Surgeons of England in recognition of further academic excellence.

As well as helping patients with improvements in their smile, Zaman provides treatment for patients wishing to have non-surgical facial aesthetic treatment with dermal fillers as well as anti-wrinkle treatment with the latest aesthetic approaches. Zaman also treats patients suffering with bruxism and clenching related jaw discomfort using botox.

Zaman ensures he can provide the latest high quality, evidence-based care by regularly attending national and international dental conferences. Outside of Dentistry, Zaman enjoys spending time with his family and two children, as well as keeping fit and cycling.

Nirav graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014. His mantra when caring for his patients is to treat them as he would like to be treated and so likes his patients to be fully informed of their oral health and any subsequent treatment. His calm, pain free approach and gentle manner allows patients to feel at ease during any dental treatment.

Nirav joined The Bush Dental Clinic in 2019 and strives to provide high quality dental treatment in a relaxed, friendly setting. Nirav has a special interest and passion in saving teeth with Root Canal Treatment. Using the latest equipment including a high magnification microscope here at the practice, he is able to assess and treat teeth needing root treatment with a higher successful outcome.

Nirav continually aims to further his clinical knowledge by attending postgraduate courses and broadening his clinical expertise. He currently regularly provides treatment to straighten teeth with use of Invisalign and has been replacing missing teeth with dental implants since 2018.

Outside of Dentistry, you can find Nirav riding his motorbike on a (dry) weekend touring the country. He regularly attends the gym, enjoys watching sports, specifically F1 and relaxes by playing the piano.

Maria Retzepi is a registered specialist in Periodontics and honorary Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute. She graduated as a Dental Surgeon from the University Of Athens Dental School in 1999 and obtained her Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and Certificate of Clinical Specialisation in Periodontics with distinction. She then completed a clinical fellowship training programme at the Department of Periodontology and Fixed Prosthodontics, University of Berne, Switzerland.

Dr Retzepi received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University College London Eastman Dental Institute for her innovative research on the effect of systemic diseases on dental implants and on bone regeneration. She is the recipient of the most prestigious international awards in dental implantology, namely the 2009 European Association of Osseointegration Research Award and the 2010 Andre Schroeder Research Prize.

Dr Retzepi has more than ten years experience in periodontics and surgical implant dentistry and has worked as a specialist practitioner based in central London since 2004. Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, performance of conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery with Guided Tissue Regeneration and enamel matrix proteins, periodontal and peri-implant plastic surgery and surgical procedures related to implant dentistry.

Dr Retzepi is a Fellow of the International Team of Implantology and member of the European Federation of Periodontology. She has been actively involved in specialist clinical training at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and has published extensively in international journals. She is a regular speaker at national and international professional bodies.

Otgontuya (Ogi) is an attentive, caring and friendly dental hygiene therapist who had qualified as a Dentist in Mongolia back in 2000. She has more than 20 years experience working in the dental industry. We receive great feedback for her personable nature and attentiveness to her patients. In her spare time Ogi enjoys Yoga, walking and cycling, she is also kept busy with her two children.

Adel Abdillahi qualified in Copenhagen university with a degree in Dental Hygiene 2009 and did a BSc in Dental Therapy at Essex University 2015. He’s always reading and keeping himself updated by attending courses.

Adel Abdillahi is an experienced Dental Hygienist/Therapist who offers expert advice, gentle treatment and evidence based treatment plan. Within his practice, Adel offers advanced skills such as minimal pain non surgical periodontal treatment. He enjoys working with nervous patients and making them feel at ease.

Adel has extensive clinical experience and uses evidence based practice as an integral part of his clinical decision making. He understands the importance of joint decision making and being patient-centred to ensure that his patients are managed through the most appropriate and effective clinical care pathway.

In his spare time he enjoys playing football, reading and spending time with family.

Ina has over 12 years of dentistry experience. She is a qualified dentist from Albania and registered in the UK as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. She has completed a year of training in implantology. Ina is well adept at treating advanced periodontal disease, implant maintenance, carrying out restorations in adults and children and cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and air flow polishes to achieve beautiful healthy teeth and gums. Ina is passionate about her profession, able to put her patients at ease with a gentle approach and ensure a positive dental experience especially for nervous patients. Aside from dentistry, she enjoys keeping active, cooking, shopping and spending time with the family. In her spare time, Ina loves to travel the globe.

Layla qualified as a dental nurse in June 2016 and joined the clinic in 2018, she is GDC registered. Layla is very proactive, proud and passionate about dental nursing, she is an integral part of our team. In her spare time Layla likes to spend time with family.

Fasia joined the clinic in 1993 and is a GDC registered dental nurse. Fasia was one of the first nurses who joined the clinic when we first opened back in 1992.  She has a wealth of experience and always makes our patients feel comfortable. Fasia enjoys gardening and is a proud mum and grandparent.

Lisa joined the clinic in 2010 as a trainee dental nurse, she qualified in 2011 and is GDC registered Lisa has experience working with our regular dentist Dr Patel as well as our Periodontist. Lisa is a proud mother and grandmother who has a love for cats.

Hamida joined clinic whilst studying for the National Dental Nursing Diploma (NEBDN). Hamida qualified earlier this year, she is developing her surgical skills working alongside Dr Mirza. In her spare time Hamida enjoys spending time with her family, socialising and meeting new people.

Zahra joined the clinic in July as a trainee dental nurse with a strong passion for patient care and professional growth. Zahra is committed to continuously enhancing her skills while working alongside the clinic’s experienced team. Outside of her role, she enjoys travelling, exploring diverse cultures, and making the most of life’s opportunities.

Debbie joined the practice in 2004. Debbie has a wealth of experience in dentistry and uses this knowledge to assist patients throughout their journey. She will often be there to greet patients and offer support whether it is to listen to their dental concerns and phobias or just organising their appointment.

In her spare time Debbie loves to cycle and is well known in the dog walking community.

Lisa joined the clinic in 2010, she is a GDC registered Dental nurse with 15 years’ experience in the dental field. Lisa isn’t just a receptionist, she creates a better experience for our patients. She makes you feel special. Lisa is currently on Maternity leave and will join us again at the end of 2021.

Rebecca (Becky) joined the clinic in 2012. Becky has over 15years experience in the dental field and   is our infection control lead. She has a wealth of experience in all dental procedures including Implants, Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Periodontics. In her spare time Becky loves spending time with her family and enjoys baking cakes.

Becky is currently on maternity leave and will return in November 2025.

Stacey started her dental career back in 1992 as a trainee dental nurse. Since then she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in dental practice management.  Stacey joined The Bush Dental Clinic in 1995 as a dental nurse/receptionist and quickly worked her way up to become our practice manager. Stacey passionately believes in our mission to achieve the highest quality of care in a compassionate environment that provides exceptional quality treatments. Away from the clinic Stacey enjoys listening to music and keeps herself busy with her 3 children.
