Zaman qualified as a Dental Surgeon from the University of Liverpool in 2010. Following an initial year providing treatment to patient’s in general dental practice, Zaman undertook several years in hospital-based positions with further training in a specialist restorative dentistry department; as well as oral surgery across both dental teaching hospitals and major regional trauma centres. During this time, Zaman was awarded postgraduate prizes by his peers for research in paediatric dentistry as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Zaman’s training and interest in surgical dentistry have allowed him to become accredited as a Dentist with a special interest in Oral Surgery. He is trusted by his colleagues to receive referrals both in-house and from Dentists across London for management of complicated tooth extractions, including surgical wisdom tooth removal.
In addition to surgical dentistry, Zaman successfully completed a master’s degree in Clinical Implantology, graduating with merit. Zaman enjoys working with patients with complex dental histories, and providing solutions for patients with missing teeth to restore their smiles.
Zaman has developed a range of skills in managing patients suffering from dental trauma, anxious patients and those with complex medical histories. Alongside these posts, Zaman has completed his membership examinations to join the Royal College of Surgeons of England in recognition of further academic excellence.
As well as helping patients with improvements in their smile, Zaman provides treatment for patients wishing to have non-surgical facial aesthetic treatment with dermal fillers as well as anti-wrinkle treatment with the latest aesthetic approaches. Zaman also treats patients suffering with bruxism and clenching related jaw discomfort using botox.
Zaman ensures he can provide the latest high quality, evidence-based care by regularly attending national and international dental conferences. Outside of Dentistry, Zaman enjoys spending time with his family and two children, as well as keeping fit and cycling.
